Abisola Kola-Daisi, the first daughter of the late former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was laid to rest on Thursday following a funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Tower, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Among the dignitaries who attended the service was Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He shared moments from the event on X, expressing, “Today, I attended the funeral service of late Abisola Kola-Daisi nee Ajimobi. Abisola’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched many, and her absence will be deeply felt. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, as they navigate this painful time. May her soul rest in peace.”
Also present was Adebo Ogundoyin, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who paid his respects and shared his thoughts on X: “I paid my last respects today to the daughter of late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State, Abisola Kola-Daisi, at the RCCG City of David in Lagos. May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may God comfort her family, especially her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their children during this difficult time. May we continue to uphold the values of empathy and kindness that Abisola embodied during her lifetime. May her legacy live on through her family. Rest in peace, Abisola.”
As outlined by the family, a private interment will follow the funeral service.
Abisola, 44, passed away on March 27, 2025, in London after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their three children.
