TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, aka Peller, is facing major backlash on social media after condemning the viral ‘30 Days Rant Challenge.’
In a now-viral video, Peller warned that the challenge—which sees Nigerians venting about economic hardship—could lead to a TikTok ban by the government. He urged protesters to take their complaints to Instagram or the streets instead.
“If you want to really rant, go to Instagram; go to the market; don’t rant here on TikTok. If they ban TikTok, that’s where we will have issues,” Peller stated.
His remarks did not sit well with VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, who fired back at the influencer, questioning his authority to dictate how Nigerians express their frustrations.
“Who’s this boy saying people should not rant on TikTok? Is TikTok your father’s house? Shouldn’t you be in school instead of on TikTok? You have no right to tell Nigerians how to express their frustration,” Adeyanju wrote.
The exchange has ignited a heated online debate, with some defending Peller’s stance, while others dragged him for being “ignorant” and “selfish.”
