Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has opened up about why she doesn’t sign up-and-coming artistes, despite fans urging her to.
In a candid interview with Forbes Africa, the 45-year-old superstar admitted that managing young talents is too stressful for her.
“I don’t think I have the gift to sign artistes because they are stressful. I could just wake up from sleep and my artiste is trending for something else.”
Instead, the ‘Somebody’s Son’ hitmaker revealed that she is working on launching a music school, where budding artistes can learn, grow, and later sign with record labels that are better equipped to manage them.
Fans React: While some applaud her honesty, others think Tiwa should take the risk and groom new talents.
Do you think Tiwa is right to avoid signing artistes, or should she take on the challenge? Drop your thoughts below! 👇🏾
