The social media feud between actress Wumi Toriola and celebrity food blogger Chef T has escalated, with food critic Opeyemi Famakin stepping in to defend Chef T, insisting she owes no one a collaboration.
The drama began after Toriola publicly called out Chef T on Instagram for allegedly ignoring her request for a partnership. The backlash intensified after reports surfaced that Funke Akindele had unfollowed several influencers, including Chef T, fueling speculation about industry tensions.
Taking to Instagram, Famakin fired back at Toriola, stating: “We don’t do Chef T slander here. She’s a sweetheart, contributing positively to the food industry in Nigeria and Africa. No one is entitled to a collaboration.”
However, Toriola was not having it. She clapped back in Famakin’s comment section, dismissing him as an “attention-seeker” and questioning his credibility as a food critic. She further accused him of hurting entrepreneurs under the guise of criticism.
The heated exchange quickly went viral, dividing social media users. While some sided with Famakin, arguing that Chef T has the right to choose who she works with, others backed Toriola, saying her frustration was valid.
