Kanye West Snubs Kendrick Lamar, Calls Drake ‘More Important’ to Hip-Hop

Kanye West has declared that Canadian star Drake is far superior and more influential in hip-hop culture than American talent Kendrick Lamar.

The singer shared this view during a recent conversation with DJ Akademiks.

West argued that while Lamar may seem to have won the hip-hop feud against Drake in the U.S., the Canadian artist holds a stronger influence on the global music industry.

West suggested that Drake’s influence on culture is on par with Future and Young Thug.

“One thing is, Drake is a million times better than Kendrick [Lamar] and a million times more important [to the hip-hop world]. What Future and [Young] Thug have done is what Drake culturally is. That sh*t was insane, bro. It’s universal,” he said.
