Davido’s logistics manager and social media personality, Isreal DMW, has ignited controversy with a strongly worded Instagram post, demanding that Okpebholo step down as Edo State governor immediately.
In his post on Saturday, Isreal alleged that Asue Ighodalo was the rightful winner of the Edo governorship election, insisting that the poll was manipulated in Okpebholo’s favour.
He accused the governor of causing instability in the state since taking office and warned that the truth behind the election would eventually come to light.
“The entire state has not had one single peace since you took over sir. The ANCESTORS are fully angry with the pure robbery that took place. Some Heads are too very strong to be cheated,” he wrote.
Drawing a comparison to the disputed June 12, 1993, presidential election, he suggested that, in time, the truth would be revealed.
Isreal further hinted that Okpebholo had influential figures shielding him from scrutiny over the alleged electoral misconduct.
His remarks have triggered mixed reactions, with some people agreeing with his claims while others dismissed them as unfounded.
