The executive team flew to New York to negotiate arrangements with Beyoncé's representatives, then returned to Nigeria with renewed energy to craft a track worthy of the global superstar. The result was "Limpopo" – specifically designed to appeal to the American icon's musical sensibilities.

Just when everything seemed to be falling into place, the team received devastating news. Beyoncé's agent informed them that the singer refused to stay overnight in Nigeria, insisting she would only sleep in neighboring Ghana – effectively making the planned concert impossible.

Fueled by disappointment, KCee and his team decided to release "Limpopo" without the American superstar. In a remarkable twist of fate, the song exploded in popularity, becoming one of the most recognizable Afrobeats hits of its time.

"KCee's popular song 'Limpopo' was supposed to feature Beyoncé on it. A Nigerian billionaire wanted to make it happen, so he contacted me to reach out to Beyonce's team. The idea was for Beyonce to have a concert in Nigeria, & afterwards do a song with KCee. 

"We flew to New York & made the arrangements. Then came back to Nigeria to record a song that Beyonce would like. That's how we made Limpopo.

"A week later, the agent who linked us with Beyonce, called & broke our hearts. He said Beyonce says she can't sleep in Nigeria; she can only sleep in Ghana. Therefore she can't make it for the concert.
