Nollywood star Annie Macaulay Idibia has officially returned to Instagram after a turbulent period marked by the collapse of her marriage and a stint in rehabilitation.
On Thursday, the actress shared a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude to her loved ones for their unwavering support.
She acknowledged the outpouring of love and made it clear that she deeply values everyone who stood by her.
Annie also wished her supporters continued blessings and good fortune.
She wrote:
“To my family, to my friends who came through for me, to the support system I have now, to all my amazing family HERE and all over the world. God bless you for the outpouring of love. I appreciate every single one of you, and I do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favour. God bless you all.

Her return to social media follows her highly publicised split from 2Baba. In January, the singer shocked fans by announcing their separation in an Instagram post, stating, “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed for divorce.” Although he later deleted the statement, he went live to confirm it, insisting, “No one hacked my account. I said what I said. I come in peace.”
Soon after, both Annie and 2Baba unfollowed each other on social media, making it evident that their 12-year marriage had ended. The actress, who gained widespread attention for her role in his African Queen music video, has previously opened up about the difficulties she faced in their relationship, including infidelity and emotional struggles.
During her appearance on Young, Famous & African, she revealed suffering a miscarriage and feeling overlooked in the marriage.
Amid the fallout, blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus alleged that Annie was in a critical state and had checked into rehab. However, she reportedly received care and support from singer Tiwa Savage and media personality Toke Makinwa, who stood by her.
Meanwhile, 2Baba has moved forward with his love life. In February, a video surfaced online showing him proposing to Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, a politician representing Egor Constituency in the 8th Edo State House of Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The proposal sparked controversy and mixed reactions.
By March 25, another clip showed the singer and Natasha at Seyi Vodi’s fashion store, where she was overheard saying, “Came shopping. Wearing this to parliament on Monday.”
His quick transition has reportedly raised concerns within his family, but the singer appears unbothered.
