Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to offer heartfelt prayers for women trying to conceive, popularly known as TTC (Trying to Conceive) mothers. Expressing concern over the overwhelming messages in her direct messages (DM), Toyin described her inbox as "messed up" and used the opportunity to show solidarity with women on their journey to motherhood. She wrote, “Omoh mehnnn my dm is messed up. GOD pls, put a smile on the face of all TTC mums, pls, LORD. I love you all, and I’m with you in my prayers.”
Toyin’s message of support aligns with a growing trend among Nigerian celebrities who have been vocal about encouraging and praying for women facing fertility challenges. Recently, actress Biodun Okeowo also prayed for awaiting mothers while sharing photos of herself with a fake baby bump, declaring that this year would not pass them by. Similarly, Biola Bayo, who welcomed her first child via surrogacy in 2023, shared a heartfelt message from a fan and prayed for eternal joy for all awaiting mothers, affirming that it was their turn to rejoice.
Mercy Aigbe and Toyin Lawani have also joined the movement, offering prayers and encouragement to women desiring the fruit of the womb. Toyin Lawani, a mother of three, highlighted the struggles many women face in their marriages, noting that her DMs are filled with stories from awaiting mothers sharing their challenges.
These acts of kindness and solidarity from celebrities have provided comfort and hope to many women, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey. Toyin Abraham’s prayers and support reflect the growing awareness and empathy for TTC mothers in Nigeria.
