Nollywood is reeling from a heart-wrenching blow—veteran actor John Amaefule has been struck down by a devastating stroke, landing him in the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Owerri, Imo State!
The gut-punching news broke via Stanley Ontop’s Instagram bombshell, thrusting the beloved star’s fight for survival into the spotlight on February 23, 2025.
Stanley’s post was a raw cry for aid: “Nollywood Veteran Actor John Amaefule was rushed to hospital this morning in Owerri after encountering Stroke. His family is asking Nigerians to please help.
He’s currently in FMC Owerri and they need money to save this man.” The stroke, slamming the left side of his brain, has left him with right-sided weakness, and critical tests—Lipid panel, Hemoglobin A1c, and more—are on hold as funds dry up.
