In a sensational twist that’s rocking the Nigerian entertainment scene, Ugo Nwokolo, the reigning Mr. Nigeria, has unleashed a scathing accusation against Nedu Wazobia, host of The Honest Bunch Podcast.
During an explosive interview with content creator Lucky Udu, Ugo revealed how Nedu allegedly manipulated him into making a career-threatening statement that sparked outrage—and it all came at a steep price of N5 million.
Ugo recounted his traumatic experience on the podcast, where he infamously declared that “poor girls turn him on,” even doubling down by saying the poorer they are, the more he’s attracted. The remarks triggered a firestorm online, with fans and critics slamming him for insensitivity and objectification. But now, Ugo claims it was all a setup orchestrated by Nedu to create a viral moment.
“Nedu manipulated me into saying that,” Ugo asserted, his voice laced with frustration. “He coached me to make that statement for the episode to blow up. I didn’t even realize the damage it would do—I was just playing along.” The model and entrepreneur confessed that the backlash was so severe, it nearly drove him to abandon his career altogether.
Adding fuel to the fire, Ugo dropped a bombshell: Nedu allegedly charged him N5 million to appear on the show, framing it as a ticket to exposure that turned into a nightmare. “I paid for a feature, and he twisted my words to fit his agenda,” Ugo claimed, alleging that his controversial comments were taken wildly out of context.
The interview, now circulating online, has reignited debates about authenticity in media and the lengths some hosts will go for clout. Social media is ablaze with reactions—some fans rallying behind Ugo, calling Nedu a “puppet master,” while others question whether the model’s story holds water. As clips of the tell-all video spread like wildfire, this scandal is poised to shake up the podcasting world and put Nedu’s reputation under intense scrutiny.
