Media personality Tolu “Toolz” Oniru has called out 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) for making his divorce from Annie Idibia public, insisting the couple could have handled the split privately.
Speaking in a recent episode of her podcast, Off Air, Toolz expressed disappointment over the timing of the announcement, pointing out that Annie was already facing backlash from her appearance on Young, Famous & African.
“They’ve had very public ups and downs, but I just feel this should have been handled privately. Especially considering what was going on with Annie at the time.”
Toolz also sympathized with Annie, stating that fans had hoped for a "happily ever after" for her despite her turbulent relationship with 2Baba.
"Everybody knows Annie loves 2Baba very much. It’s quite sad because people wanted that fairytale ending for her, but life happened."
She further criticized 2Baba’s timing, saying it wasn’t right to publicly announce the divorce while Annie was already facing criticism.
“At some point, I imagine he loved her. She’s the mother of his children. To drop this news while she’s already being attacked publicly? It’s just not nice.”
The internet remains divided, with some agreeing with Toolz, while others believe 2Baba had every right to make his decision public.
