Veteran Nigerian singer Timaya has named Rema as the frontrunner of the new wave of Nigerian music talents.
Speaking in a recent interview with Cool FM, the Dem Mama hitmaker shared his admiration for Rema, highlighting his unique approach to music and fashion.
“I’m a fan of Rema. Among all the young boys [new generational musicians], he’s at the top. Rema is their dad. You don’t know? See his abs, his dress sense—crazy!” Timaya remarked.
He went on to praise Rema’s intentionality, noting the Calm Down crooner’s exceptional music, stage performances, and overall artistry.
“He’s intentional; his music, his stage performance are amazing. And he’s a fine young boy,” Timaya added.
