Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has sparked a thought-provoking conversation on social media, urging Nigerians to rethink their perception of "village people" holding them back. In a recent Facebook post, Edochie emphasized that the notion of village people being obstacles to progress is a misconception.
According to Edochie, Nigerians are often their own hindrance to success. He argued that individuals should focus on personal growth and development rather than blaming external factors. Edochie also noted that "village people" are not stagnant entities, but rather individuals who are also striving to improve their own lives.
Edochie's post also touched on the role of the church in addressing life's challenges. He cautioned that while faith is essential, it is not a panacea for all problems. He encouraged people to explore their roots and discover their true identities by visiting their villages.

“Nobody hold you for village. Village people don’t even have your time.
They’re busy trying to make headway in their own lives. Na you hold yourself.
Go home, go traditional and ask questions about your life. Know who you are, where you come from and where you should be heading to. Church doesn’t solve everything"
