Controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington is not here for unsolicited advice! The eccentric musician has fired shots at those telling him to move on from his feud with Burna Boy, telling them to "get lost" if they’re tired of supporting him.
This comes just hours after his lawyer, Stanley Alieke, announced that his firm, Law Capitol, had officially cut ties with the singer.
The separation follows Speedy’s recent release from police detention, where he was held for allegedly cyberstalking Burna Boy. But rather than backing down, Speed Darlington is doubling down on his fight!
In a viral video posted on Instagram, Speed Darlington went OFF on critics, saying: “I’m on my way to the studio for more music. My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, you get lost. And let my God guide me. Support, support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up. Let me do what I want and keep your advice to yourself. I have been there and done that; the fear is not the same.”
He didn’t stop there! Taking another swipe at Burna Boy, Speedy shaded the Grammy winner for allegedly using the police to keep him locked up for longer while still singing about “police brutality.”
“Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria. Yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer. And this is only what you can say? Leave him and move on.”
Speed Darlington vs. Burna Boy: The Never-Ending Feud!
Speed Darlington’s beef with Burna Boy dates back to 2024 when he mocked Burna’s rumored relationship with American rapper, Diddy. He even went as far as claiming that Burna’s 2021 Grammy win was because of his ties with Diddy!
After his first arrest in October 2024, Darlington dropped the viral diss track "Baby Oil," taking jabs at both Burna Boy and Diddy. The track went viral on Spotify Nigeria and has since become a staple in all of his content.
Since his second release from detention after two months in Kuje prison, Speedy has promised to come back stronger than ever with more music and controversy!
