Seun Kuti Weighs in on Burna Boy and Speed Darlington Feud, Credits Diddy for Speed Darlington’s Fame

Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has distanced himself from the ongoing feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington, offering an unexpected take on the controversy.

The drama began after Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of engaging in an illicit relationship with American music mogul Diddy to secure a Grammy, a claim that led to his arrest.

During an Instagram live session, Seun Kuti addressed fans who sought his opinion on the matter. He clarified that while Burna Boy had gifted him diamond jewelry, it didn’t mean he was involved in the Grammy winner’s personal affairs.

“Don’t involve me in Burna Boy and Speed Darlington’s case; because I collected a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser,” Kuti said.

The Afrobeat star then shifted focus to Diddy, whom Speed Darlington accused in his controversial claims. Kuti credited Diddy with helping Speed Darlington rise to fame, pointing to the music executive’s endorsement of the viral hit Bangdadang.

“Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular. He reposted Bangdadang, which made the song popular. I’ve done a lot of songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington’s song,” Kuti added.

Kuti’s comments have sparked conversations online, with fans revisiting Diddy’s role in amplifying Speed Darlington’s music. Meanwhile, the feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington continues to generate buzz across social media.
