Social media influencer Mama Pee has expressed her outrage at VeryDarkMan (VDM) following his admission that the ₦180 million missing funds story was a fabricated prank.
The popular activist's revelation sparked widespread criticism, and Mama Pee was not shy about sharing her thoughts.
In a video reaction, Mama Pee slammed VDM, calling the prank “daft” and accusing him of gaslighting the public. She highlighted that Nigerians are far from gullible, asserting that she suspected it was a stunt from the beginning.
She said: “VeryDarkMan, rest! Your prank was not funny. You sound like you’re gaslighting us all. Pranking the public with funds donated by them is not smart. We Nigerians are very smart; it’s your prank that’s daft.”
Mama Pee also addressed VDM’s involvement with Lil Smart, a beneficiary of the NGO’s initiatives. She urged him to either commit to helping or step aside, emphasizing the importance of using the donated funds for their intended purposes.
“If you don’t want to help Lil Smart, then leave him alone and focus on carrying out the projects the money was donated for.”
Her reaction has further fueled public debate, with many Nigerians agreeing that the prank was ill-conceived and undermines trust in charitable causes. Others argue that it highlights the need for accountability in the handling of public donations.
