A Sci-Fi Epic Rooted in Lagos

Set in both the bustling Lagos of 2024 and a futuristic 2175, Aliens in Lagos blends Nigerian culture with awe-inspiring science fiction elements. The story revolves around Jasmine, a 15-foot alien giantess, and her fiancé Jude, as they navigate love and battle an alien invasion threatening Earth.

Oshigbesan paints Lagos not just as a backdrop but as a living, breathing character in the narrative. Iconic locations like Oshodi, Surulere, and Ikeja feature prominently, creating a rich tapestry of Nigerian culture amidst a futuristic sci-fi landscape.

Meet the Heroes: Jasmine and Jude

Jasmine, the enigmatic alien giantess, is designed to captivate with her sapphire-lit body, electrified blue hair, and near-immortal prowess. Meanwhile, Jude, her relatable and endearing fiancé, adds a grounded human element to the otherwise otherworldly tale. Together, they represent the heart of the story, which blends romance with extraterrestrial drama.

A Call to Visionaries

Oshigbesan, a graduate of Kunle Afolayan Production’s (KAP) scriptwriting program and author of the novel High School Apocalypse, is leveraging his storytelling expertise to push boundaries. He believes Aliens in Lagos has the potential to be a cultural milestone, setting a new standard for African sci-fi cinema.

He invites investors and filmmakers to seize this "interstellar window" of opportunity, emphasizing that the film is more than a story—it's a movement.

Paving the Way for African Sci-Fi

With its unique fusion of Nigerian motifs and futuristic themes, Aliens in Lagos promises to be a cinematic game-changer. Oshigbesan envisions it as a launchpad for African sci-fi storytelling, appealing to global audiences while celebrating local culture.

The question remains: Who will answer the call to bring this groundbreaking vision to life?
