Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku has weighed in on the ongoing marital crisis between singer 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia.
The drama unfolded after 2Baba announced his separation from Annie in a now-deleted Instagram post, sparking widespread concern. Although he initially claimed his account had been hacked, the musician later confirmed in a video that the post was genuine.
Reacting to the controversy, Mary Njoku criticized 2Baba for what she described as the “public humiliation” of Annie during an already difficult time.
Taking to social media, Njoku expressed her disappointment, stating, “At her lowest, you chose to humiliate her. We stayed quiet out of respect for her tough choices, but you’ve left us no choice.”
She also warned 2Baba to prepare for accountability, saying, “Be prepared to answer questions when the time comes.”
2Baba and Annie, who tied the knot in May 2012, share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Their marriage has long been in the spotlight, celebrated for its resilience but also marred by publicized challenges.
Njoku’s remarks have added to the growing chorus of support for Annie, with fans and colleagues rallying around her during this trying time. Meanwhile, the public awaits further updates on the couple’s situation.
