Davido Crowns Himself Afrobeats Kings: "You Can't Mention Afrobeats Without My Name!"

Nigerian music sensation Davido has made a bold claim about his contributions to the afrobeats genre!

In a recent interview with TheBeatJuice magazine, the 'Skelewu' crooner declared that it's impossible to discuss afrobeats without mentioning his name.

But this isn't the first time Davido has shared his thoughts on the genre. Previously, he's spoken out against being boxed into the afrobeats category, preferring to be called an "afro-fusion" artist instead.

Despite this, Davido acknowledges the impact of afrobeats on African music and doesn't mind being associated with the genre.
