Social media personality VeryDarkMan has taken aim at Ubi Franklin, talent manager and close associate of singer Davido’s wife, Chioma, over allegations of fraud.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan accused Franklin of failing to honor a business deal with a man, allegedly using Chioma’s name to secure a payment of N10 million in June 2024.
VeryDarkMan also shared audio recordings of Franklin’s conversations with the unnamed victim, claiming they provided evidence of the alleged scam. He publicly issued Franklin a 72-hour ultimatum to refund the money, threatening further action if he doesn’t comply.
The social media critic wrote:
“@Davido I cannot understand how Ubi Franklin, a manager under 30BG, is out here $c@mm!ng people. I have reported him to you before. Anyways, Ubi Franklin, you have till Tuesday to pay up.”
This is not the first time Ubi Franklin has faced similar accusations. VeryDarkMan previously alleged that Franklin had been leveraging Davido’s name to dupe unsuspecting individuals.
As of now, Franklin has not responded to the allegations. The controversy has sparked heated debates online, with fans of Davido and Chioma expressing outrage and demanding accountability.
All eyes are on Franklin as the Tuesday deadline looms. Will he address the claims, or will this escalate further?
