In response to the criticism, Taye Currency took to social media in a viral video to express regret and clarify his statements. He emphasized that his words were misinterpreted and assured fans of his respect for Pasuma.
"Good day, everyone. My name is Alhaji Taye Currency. Following the recent rumour on social media, I want to greet our people and those who love us, especially Pasuma’s supporters and the lovers of Fuji music in general," Taye said.
He continued, "People who misunderstood my comments should not be angry. I sincerely apologise for what happened because people interpret words differently, and that’s what I have come to understand. Alhaji Alabi Pasuma is my boss. He knows I’m loyal to him. For it not to seem disrespectful, I apologise to Pasuma."
