Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Oxlade has sparked conversations after claiming he receives more love from Ghana than his own country. The singer made the statement during an interview where he discussed his decision to feature Ghanaian hip-hop legend, Sarkodie on his debut album, "Oxlade from Africa."
Oxlade also shed light on a series of cryptic posts he had previously shared on X, in which he mentioned some "OGs" in the Nigerian music industry boycotting and blackmailing him. He revealed that his frustration stemmed from the industry's tendency for certain individuals to "play god" and attempt to control his career trajectory.
Speaking candidly, Oxlade said, "If I’m being honest with you, Ghana has shown me more love than Nigeria," expressing his dissatisfaction with those who feel entitled to his respect, even when he feels their actions don’t warrant it.
His comments have ignited debates online, with fans from both countries sharing their thoughts on the issue.
