Nigerian activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has sparked controversy after calling out political commentator Reno Omokri for what he described as a display of "hypocrisy."

In a fiery response, VeryDarkMan dug up receipts—playing an old video of Omokri protesting against Tinubu during his visit to Chatham House in the UK during the 2023 presidential campaign.
The activist didn’t stop there. He also read one of Omokri's past social media posts, where Omokri had harshly criticized Tinubu, labeling him a "drug lord."

“Reno Omokri, what are you doing with someone you once called a drug lord? Do you want to learn how to sell drugs? I'm just curious, o; it's none of my business!" VeryDarkMan remarked sarcastically in the video. He added, "You can clearly see that you lack integrity."
Stirring the pot further, VeryDarkMan accused Omokri of secretly lobbying to meet Tinubu. "By the way, I won’t pretend I didn't know that you begged a lot of people to help you meet Tinubu. I saw many people you pleaded with to arrange a meeting," he claimed.
The activist then took a final jab at Omokri's shifting allegiances, noting, "In 2023, you were campaigning for Atiku. I know politics is a dirty game, but at least have some integrity."
