Veteran Nollywood actress Lola Idije has finally addressed the swirling rumors claiming that fellow actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, snatched her daughter’s boyfriend.
Speculations erupted online, alleging that Omoborty’s husband was previously in a romantic relationship with Idije’s daughter before Okeowo "snatched" him. Despite Omoborty denying the claims during an Instagram live session, the rumors persisted.
Reacting to the ongoing controversy, Lola Idije took to Instagram to set the record straight. She firmly denied any prior connection between her daughters and Omoborty’s husband.
In her post, Idije wrote:
"The first time I ever spoke to Omoborty’s husband was when she introduced him to me on a phone call. None of my daughters know him. Omoborty didn’t snatch my daughter’s boyfriend. I attended their wedding; there’s no way she would do such a thing and I would attend the wedding."
Lola Idije’s response appears to have put an end to the rumors, as she urged the public to stop spreading false information.
