The actress explained that starting a family early is crucial, especially for women with big career aspirations. However, she clarified that this does not necessarily mean rushing into marriage.
“If you are aspiring to be a successful superstar as a young girl, I would advise you to start a family early so that you can have the rest of your years to push your career. The family area is very important,” she said.
Bakare went on to explain that while early marriage may sometimes lead to divorce, she simply advocates for having children. “I never thought of marriage when I had my first child, I just wanted a baby,” she added.
The 43-year-old actress, who has been married twice and is a mother of three, emphasized that women should not feel pressured by societal expectations to marry early, but rather focus on building a family in a way that supports their career goals.
Her comments have sparked debate on social media, with some agreeing that modern women can embrace motherhood on their own terms, while others raised concerns about the complexities of raising children outside of a traditional marriage structure.
