Nollywood actress and media personality Dorcas Shola Fapson, popularly known as Ms DSF, has set the record straight after sparking rumors about her colleague Toke Makinwa secretly tying the knot with her rumored longtime partner, Farouk Umar.
The speculation started on Sunday when photos of Makinwa and Umar at an event, which Ms DSF described as a "thanksgiving ceremony," went viral, leading many to believe it was a secret wedding. Ms DSF further fueled the rumors with a playful post hinting at the couple's alleged marriage.
However, in a video message shared via her social media page, Ms DSF clarified that her earlier claim was meant as a joke, and the event in question was not a marriage ceremony but simply Makinwa's "thanksgiving" ahead of her birthday.
Addressing the confusion, Ms DSF said, "Bloggers please, I’m just joking. They [Toke Makinwa and Farouk Umar] are not getting married. Toke is just doing thanksgiving for her birthday." She humorously captioned the video, “I play too much and bloggers eat sh*t too fast.”
Toke Makinwa, who was previously married to businessman Maje Ayida in 2014, had her marriage end in 2017. Despite the rumors, Makinwa’s birthday thanksgiving has now been confirmed as the real reason behind the recent celebrations.
