Karen Igho, the 2011 winner of Big Brother Africa, has taken to social media to reveal her harrowing struggle amid an ongoing divorce from her husband, Yaroslav Rakos.

In a series of emotional posts on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Karen detailed allegations of physical and sexual abuse, calling on the public to hold Rakos responsible should anything happen to her.

The reality TV star, who relocated to the United States after marrying Rakos in 2014, claimed that she has been homeless for the past year and is currently fighting for custody of their two children. Karen accused her husband of trying to take the children away by falsely claiming she is mentally unstable.

“I am going through a divorce with my husband. I have been homeless for a year now, and I have been sexually and physically hurt,” Karen wrote. She added, "So if anything happens to me, hold the man who brought me to a country where I know no one. He is trying to take our children away by saying I’m mentally sick."

In a particularly alarming message, Karen warned, “In case you don’t hear from me again, know that I have been killed.”

The reality star's cry for help has sent shockwaves through her fan base and the broader social media community, with many expressing concern for her safety and well-being. Karen’s revelations come as a stark reminder of the challenges many women face behind closed doors, even in seemingly stable relationships.

Karen, who won the hearts of millions during her time on Big Brother Africa, had relocated to the U.S. after tying the knot with Rakos in Jos, Plateau State. As her legal battle unfolds, fans and supporters are rallying behind her, hoping for her safety and justice.
