Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed that walking away from her marriage to Olakunle Churchill was the best decision she has ever made. The actress shared this insight while advising a fellow single mother who sought guidance on how to cope after her partner left her and their child.
In her response, Tonto clarified that she was the one who chose to leave her marriage, explaining that it was a necessary decision for both her and her son’s well-being. “I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just for my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made,” she wrote.
Dikeh encouraged the woman to commit to personal growth and reminded her that she has the power to shape her own future. She later shared the exchange on her Instagram, urging other single mothers to draw strength from God and maintain privacy when it comes to family matters.
Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill’s marriage ended in 2017 amid allegations of infidelity and domestic violence. Despite their divorce, the ex-couple continues to clash publicly, with Dikeh accusing Churchill of being an absent father, while Churchill claims she has denied him access to their son.
