The drama surrounding human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, has taken a gripping new turn as Folakemi Falana, daughter of the famed legal titan, issued a stern warning to social media critic VeryDarkMan.
In an explosive Instagram post on Friday, Folakemi slammed VeryDarkMan for spreading what she calls "baseless" accusations, threatening to take the battle to court.
The controversy began when VeryDarkMan released a leaked audio clip on September 24, 2024, in which embattled cross-dresser Bobrisky claimed that Falz, through his father Femi Falana, had negotiated a N10 million bribe for a presidential pardon.
According to the audio, Bobrisky alleged that Falana and his son worked behind the scenes to settle his case and keep him out of prison. The claims have sent shockwaves across social media, with the internet buzzing in anticipation of the fallout.
However, both Falz and Femi Falana have fiercely denied the allegations. Falz clarified that Bobrisky only contacted him for financial help to pay N3 million to officials for VIP treatment while serving his sentence at the Correctional Centre. In a bid to clear their names, the Falana family issued a 24-hour ultimatum for VeryDarkMan to retract his remarks.
But in typical fashion, VeryDarkMan refused to back down, stating in a video that he merely shared the leaked audio, not a defamatory statement. He maintained his innocence, claiming he was only reacting to the content of Bobrisky’s alleged voice recording.
Now, Folakemi Falana has upped the stakes, vowing to pursue legal action. In a fiery Instagram post, she not only defended her father and brother but also laid out her frustration with the public's quickness to believe what she described as "wild and ridiculous" accusations.
"Do you think my dad or Falz need Bob’s money??? For what?" she wrote, lashing out at the idea that her family could be involved in such schemes. She also accused VeryDarkMan of crossing the line by falsely suggesting Falz is homosexual, calling the allegation "wild."

And the tension doesn’t stop there. Folakemi revealed that her family’s legal firm, Falana & Falana Chambers, has been providing free legal assistance for Nigerians seeking presidential pardons for years. She expressed outrage that a "ridiculous character like VeryDarkMan" could spark so much controversy with unverified claims.
Her final statement leaves no room for ambiguity: "Seeing as you have refused to do the needful, #verydarkblackman see you in court."
