Sir Alex Ferguson, the 82-year-old former manager of Manchester United, has revealed that he occasionally longs for his days as the head coach of the "Red Devils."
The iconic Scotsman shared his thoughts in an interview with ESPN.
"Yes, sometimes I miss it. In the first year after I retired, I went to the Champions League final and told Cathy (Ferguson's late wife): 'This is what I miss – the big European matches.'
I attended most of the European finals because that's what I love and what I would like to do every day. These are big events, and Manchester United should always be part of them," Ferguson added.
Under Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United played like men possessed.

It felt like putting on the United shirt magically turned anyone into quality.
I watched the first team go 2-0 up in the first half, and then Fergie would throw on the young guns in the second.

Ferguson led Manchester United from 1986 until 2013, and it was during his tenure that the club last claimed the Premier League title in 2013.
