Social media activist Martins Otse Vincent, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has ignited a heated debate after criticizing the collective N63 million donation made by several Nigerian celebrities to support controversial crossdresser Bobrisky following his recent release from police custody.

Bobrisky, who had faced legal troubles, publicly thanked celebrities like Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Funke Akindele, and Victor Osimhen for their financial contributions, which he said helped him navigate his legal challenges.

However, VeryDarkMan expressed his disappointment on Instagram, arguing that these funds should have been used to aid impoverished communities in Nigeria instead of supporting someone he described as a negative influence.

The activist's remarks quickly spread across social media, sparking divided opinions. Some users agreed with VeryDarkMan, asserting that the money could have made a significant impact if directed toward charitable causes. One user remarked, "He may be controversial, but he’s speaking the truth—there are so many in need."

On the other hand, many defended the celebrities' freedom to choose how they spend their money. "Everyone has the right to support whoever they want," another user commented, questioning why there was an expectation for celebrities to adhere to others' standards for their philanthropy.

The controversy has continued to fuel discussions online, with broader conversations emerging about the role of celebrities in society and their responsibility to address social issues.
