The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has officially disclosed the cause of her death, putting to rest various rumors that have circulated online. Aduke Gold passed away at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Her sudden passing left fans and colleagues in the gospel music community shocked and grieving, with many taking to social media to express their sorrow. In the hours following her death, reports began to spread that Aduke Gold had died while undergoing fibroid surgery, causing further speculation and confusion.
However, in response to these rumors, her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, clarified the true cause of her death in a video that has since gone viral. He revealed that Aduke Gold succumbed to cervical cancer, as confirmed by her death certificate from the hospital. Pastor Ajayi urged people to be cautious and verify information before spreading unverified claims.
"Whoever is saying what is not should stop it. Our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was taken to UCH in Ibadan, and unfortunately, she died. The information spreading around is false," Pastor Ajayi stated, seeking to put an end to the misinformation surrounding his sister's death.
This clarification has provided some closure for fans and the public, emphasizing the importance of respecting the family's privacy during this difficult time.
