Popular US rapper Rick Ross was attacked following his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada. The incident reportedly occurred after Ross played Kendrick Lamar’s track "Not Like Us," which is perceived as a diss track aimed at Canadian singer Drake, to wrap up his performance.
According to TMZ, a group of about 15 men confronted Ross and his crew immediately after they left the stage. The altercation began with a verbal exchange but quickly escalated into physical violence when one of the men punched Ross in the face.
Details about injuries or arrests related to the incident have not been confirmed by authorities at this time.
This attack follows a series of tensions between Ross, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake. In May 2024, Rick Ross publicly expressed support for Kendrick Lamar during his feud with Drake. This led to Drake taking a swipe at Ross in his track "Push Ups." Ross later responded with his own diss track titled "Champagne Moments."
