Nollywood Actor Uche Maduagwu Criticizes Cubana Chief Priest Over Public Declaration of Love for Davido [Video]

Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has taken a swipe at popular businessman Cubana Chief Priest for his public declaration of love and loyalty to music star Davido. Chief Priest recently affirmed his love for Davido, expressing his admiration and loyalty in a heartfelt Instagram post. However, Maduagwu is not convinced by this display of affection.

In his reaction via Instagram, Maduagwu questioned Chief Priest's sincerity, suggesting that his love for Davido is heavily influenced by the singer's billionaire status and wealthy background. He challenged Chief Priest's understanding of love and criticized him for not advising Davido against filing a lawsuit against his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, just days before his wedding.

Maduagwu further questioned why Chief Priest did not advise Davido to hold his traditional wedding in his wife’s hometown of Imo State, in accordance with the culture of the Owerri people. "Cubana Chief Priest, I think you have zero understanding of what #love means; if you love Davido, why you no advise him not to file a lawsuit against Sophia a few days before his wedding? Who does that? Is that love?" Maduagwu wrote.

He added, "If Davido was not a billionaire and did not come from a wealthy Adeleke family, would you still love him this much? As an Igbo man, if you love Davido, why didn’t you advise him to do his traditional wedding in Imo State according to the great culture of Owerri people?"

Maduagwu's criticism has stirred up a debate among fans and followers, with some supporting his views and others defending Chief Priest's public show of support for Davido. In the past, Maduagwu and Chief Priest have clashed over various issues. In 2022, Maduagwu criticized Chief Priest's advice to Nigerian youths to prioritize making money over getting in shape, suggesting that it was hypocritical given Chief Priest's own struggles with obesity.
