A heated conflict has erupted between Israel Afeare popularly known as Israel DMW and Davido's baby mama, Sophia Momodu. The feud erupted after Israel's controversial Instagram story went viral, sparking a social media frenzy.
Nollywood Times recalls that the post shared by Isreal openly criticized Sophia Momodu for sharing private messages from Davido's father, amidst their ongoing child custody dispute. In the Instagram story post, Israel sided with Davido, accusing Sophia of being a gold digger.
The post, which criticized Sophia Momodu in the ongoing custody battle with Davido over their daughter, Imade, did not sit well with Sophia, prompting her to confront Israel directly.
Sophia Momodu quickly took matters into her own hands, dialing Israel's number to express her displeasure. Despite the fiery nature of his post, Israel's response during the call was markedly different, as he adopted a more apologetic and subdued tone.
In a leaked audio recording of the call, Sophia can be heard reprimanding Israel for lying about her on social media. She asserted that while Davido was mistreating their daughter, Imade, everyone, including Israel, remained silent. Her sharp words highlighted her frustration, emphasizing that their shared regional background was the only reason she refrained from insulting him.
Throughout the call, Israel attempted to pacify Sophia, addressing her as "sister" and pleading for her understanding. However, Sophia firmly rejected this notion, stating, "I am not your sister; I don't know you like that." She demanded that Israel cease spreading falsehoods about her online, making it clear that she does not appreciate such behavior.
Sophia further claimed that Davido has not financially supported Imade since she was young. She also mentioned a previous incident at Tiwa's house, where she had warned Israel about his actions. Despite his repeated apologies during the call, Sophia remained resolute, insisting that he respect her and refrain from making false statements about her on social media.
