Popular Nigerian skit maker Denilson Igwe has revealed the difficulties he has faced since leaving the renowned Mark Angel Comedy group in 2019.

Mark Angel Comedy, a highly successful comedy channel that started gaining traction in 2013, boasts over a billion views and nine million subscribers on YouTube. The channel, headed by Mark Angel, has featured other prominent comic acts, including Emmanuella and Igwe himself.

In a candid interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Igwe shared that his social media accounts were hacked the very week he parted ways with Mark Angel Comedy.

"They hacked my YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram pages the week I left Mark Angel Comedy," Igwe disclosed. He further explained that despite efforts to recover or grow these pages, they have remained stagnant. "Since that time, I was told to do something I do not understand but the pages do not go forward or backward. Since 2019 till now, the social media pages have not added one follower. It is just there like that," he lamented.

Igwe's departure from Mark Angel Comedy was marked by controversy. He previously claimed to be the founder of the comedy channel and accused Mark Angel of monetizing it without his consent.

The hacking incident and the subsequent standstill of his social media presence have posed significant challenges for Igwe as he attempts to rebuild his career independently.
