Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, has set a new record for the most trophies won in football history. In the final of the 2024 Copa America, Messi played for 60 minutes as his country defeated Colombia 1-0.
This victory marked Messi's 45th career trophy, surpassing the previous record held by his former Barcelona teammate Dani Alves (44).
Throughout his illustrious career, Messi has secured a total of 35 club titles with Barcelona and six trophies with Argentina, notably winning the Copa America in both 2021 and 2024.
Additionally, he clinched the Olympic gold medal at Beijing 2008.
Since joining PSG in 2021, Messi has added three more trophies to his collection, including two Ligue 1 titles and a Trophee des Champions.
He also triumphed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina and secured the Leagues Cup 2023 trophy with Inter Miami.
