In a dramatic turn of events, popular Nigerian activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has been released from police custody.
This follows his detention on May 22nd, 2024, after claims surfaced that he had falsely accused high-ranking police officers and senators of engaging in sexual relationships with convicted cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky.
Yesterday, a video began trending online showing VeryDarkMan in the company of his friends as he regained his freedom. The clip, shared by influencer Tunde Ednut, captures the moment the activist left police custody, appearing unusually subdued.
Known for his catchphrase "You will learn," VeryDarkMan could be seen walking gently with his hand wrapped around his head, prompting one of his companions to comment, “He still dey fear.”
Tunde Ednut captioned the video, “VeryDarkMan is finally out. Welcome back….. DROP THAT LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️ IF YOU LOVE VERYDARKMAN.”

In the video, he can be seen dancing to Fela Anikulapo Kuti's iconic song, "Beast of No Nation." The song's lyrics seem to signal that he is ready to resume his outspoken activism.
He posted the video on his previously inactive Instagram channel with the caption: "Basket mouth wan start to leak again oooo……..them go hear kpansa kpansa…..RATEL SEASON."
He added, "Music titled: 'Beast of No Nation' by the great FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI @felakutiofficial."

Critics and supporters alike are eagerly anticipating VeryDarkMan's next moves as he prepares to address ongoing issues.
