The Football Association of Wales has made the difficult decision to part ways with Rob Page, who has been serving as the men's National Team Head Coach.
Page initially stepped in as interim manager in November 2020 before being officially appointed to the position in September 2022.
During his tenure, Page achieved remarkable success, guiding the team to notable accomplishments such as qualifying for the UEFA EURO 2020 finals and securing Cymru's first FIFA World Cup appearance in over six decades, dating back to 1958.
Despite these achievements, the FA of Wales has decided to terminate Page's contract, signaling a new chapter for the national team as they search for a new leader to continue their progress on the international stage.
Dave Adams, the Chief Football Officer, commended Page for his outstanding accomplishments in leading the team to promotion in the UEFA Nations League to League A.
He also highlighted Page's successful integration of 18 pathway players into the senior squad, showcasing his commitment to developing young talent and building a strong team for the future.
Adams expressed his admiration for Page's strategic vision and leadership skills, which have undoubtedly contributed to the team's success on and off the field.
