Expressing his desire to sign a record deal with Sony Music, Portable believed that they held the key to achieving his dream of winning 10 Grammys in a single night.

Upon hearing his desires, Davido suggested to Portable that he should seek out a record deal that would be more beneficial for him, such as one with Empire. Davido explained that deals like that could provide Portable with more money and help him establish a stronger presence in Africa.

Following their conversation, Portable took to Instagram Live to share his disappointment with Davido's advice. This did not go down well with Davido, who unfollowed Portable on social media.
