Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared a humorous and relatable moment from the set of her debut movie, 'Water & Garri.' In a recent interview with BET, the Afrobeats diva revealed that she brushed her teeth six times before filming a kissing scene to ensure she made a good impression.
"The first day on set, I had my kissing scene. I am glad it was my first day because I just went right into it. I remember in my dressing room, I brushed my teeth like five, six times because I was like I needed to represent," Savage recounted with a laugh. "But, he was very lovely. All of the cast was. They were really, really nice."
In 'Water & Garri,' Tiwa Savage plays the lead character Aisha and shares the screen with co-star Andrew Bunting, who plays Kay. The movie, which premiered on Prime Video on May 10, marks Savage's foray into acting and showcases her versatility as an entertainer.
'Water & Garri' was produced by Tiwa Savage and filmed in Cape Coast, Ghana. The film was directed by Meji Alabi and features a talented cast including Mike Afolarin as Mide and Jemima Osunde as Stephany.
