Seyi Law, a popular Nigerian comedian and social commentator, has expressed his frustration with government agencies over what he perceives as a lack of clear communication and action on key issues affecting Nigerians.
In a recent statement via his X handle, Seyi Law criticized the lack of clarity surrounding cybersecurity charges, citing a discrepancy between the official figure of 0.005% and other figures ranging from 0.5% to 3% that are being discussed.
According to Seyi Law, even a 0.5% charge in Nigeria's current economic climate is overly burdensome for ordinary Nigerians and could discourage banking transactions, potentially leading to an increase in cash hoarding. He called on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to review and clarify its policies to avoid further confusion and hardship for the citizens.
The die-hard supporter of the Tinubu also criticized the government over the issue of stamp duty, describing it as "unacceptable." He urged President Tinubu to address the concerns of Nigerians, particularly regarding the announcement and implementation of the new minimum wage.
He emphasized the need for government officials, especially ministers, to be more responsive to the plight of the masses, stating that "some of your ministers need to look for another job."

"I hate when government agencies don't speak up to the understanding of the citizens and allow wrong narratives to fester before tackling it. Cybersecurity level, according to the act, is 0.005%, and different figures from 0.5% to 3% are being thrown around.
"A 0.5% charge in the Nigeria of today is in itself too much punishment on Nigerians. Are we trying to discourage banking transactions again and encourage cash keeping? @cenbank should revisit this abeg.
"Stamp duty is something, and now this. It is unacceptable.
"@NGRPresident @officialABAT, let the poor breathe. When will the new minimum wage be announced and implemented? Some of your ministers need to look for another job. One year is here and we are counting."

@sapphire_nifemi: "Mr Face BBL. You sef Dey talk? Either 0.5 or 0.005
Why do we need the cybersecurity levy in the first place? Educational tax was increased to 3% yet subsidy was removed on education. How many cybersecurity analysts do we have in CBN? Why do we need cybersecurity Levy??? Answer oh"
@UnlimitedEniola: "Only people like you convinced yourself that Bola Tinubu is interested in transforming Nigeria. Bola Tinubu did not bother to convince you that he was ready to work for Nigeria but you decided to convince yourself that he’s a good man. Someone said he was going to expand the tax net and reduce the purchasing power of Nigerians, and you refused to listen to that."
