Abuja Barber Reacts To Davido's Response [Image]

An Abuja-based barber and avid Wizkid fan, Callistus Chisom Okolie, recently caused a stir on social media after referring to singer Davido as "003," implying he ranks third among Nigerian musicians.

The incident unfolded on May 5th, 2024, when Davido shared photos of his enjoyable moments in Dubai, UAE, on his verified Instagram page. While many fans praised Davido, @kallystouch on Instagram took a different approach by calling him "003."

This reference, alluding to Davido as the third-best musician in Nigeria after Wizkid and Burna Boy, appeared to irk Davido, known for branding himself as "001." Davido retaliated by declaring that the barber had forfeited the chance to cut his hair in Abuja, signaling a significant fallout between the two.

The barber wrote via the comment section; “The only 3rd man in the music industry 003.”

The Abuja barber's remark, as a Wizkid fan, clearly offended Davido, who responded by stating that the barber had lost the lifetime opportunity to cut his hair whenever he visited Abuja.

Davido also boasted that while he had opened a shop for his three hair stylists, Callistus would not be included in that arrangement.

Davido wrote;  “@kallystouch I don save ur picture I for come Abuja … u for cut my hair wey don almost finish but u like social media … my last 3 barbers I open shop for them .. nah so u dull ur generation blessing smh”.

In response, the Abuja barber stands firm, expressing no regret for labeling Davido as 003 in the Nigerian music industry. He clarifies that he did not lose any lifetime opportunity, asserting that Davido is not God. He emphasizes that he has never aspired to cut Davido's hair, indicating that the singer is not essential to his career.

The barber reaffirms his loyalty to Wizkid, declaring that Wizkid remains his 001 and he will always be a Wizkid FC member.

He wrote;  “I don’t have any regret in what I said, I never dreamt of Barbing Davido, he is not my God, and he his not my helper, when the time is right I go blow, Wizkid still remains my 001 Forever till d**th.”
He added; “Davido no be my God, FC forever. I am a Wizkid FC barber., period.”
