Peter Obi Reacts To The Death Of Junior Pope

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election has expressed his condolences following the death of Nollywood actor Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.

The news of Junior Pope's passing was first reported by Nollywood Times and announced on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker Samuel Olatunji.

As Nigerians mourn the loss of the talented actor, many actors and VIPs have shared their reactions, paying tribute to him.

Peter Gregory Obi took to his official social media handle to express his sadness over the death of the Nollywood icon. He shared the photograph of the late actor and posted:

"I am shocked by the reports of the death of yet another vibrant Nollywood actor, Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope. Our entertainment industry, and indeed our dear nation, is once again thrown into mourning, by the death of this young talented actor."

In other news, in response to the tragic boat accident involving Junior Pope, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has implemented measures to prevent future incidents. They have banned riverine shoots and suspended filmmaker Adanma Luke, the producer of the movie in which the accident occurred.

Furthermore, Nollywood Times is still gathering details about the three other actors who lost their lives in the accident. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
