Deyemi Okanlawon, a Nigerian actor who has transitioned into filmmaking, recently shared his final conversation with the late Jumoke Aderounmi, who passed away at the age of 40.
Taking to his Instagram account on Monday night, the father of three posted a screenshot of their WhatsApp chat, expressing his belief that they will continue their conversation in a better place.
In the message dated November 23, Deyemi reached out to Jumoke Aderounmi to check on her well-being. She responded by sending a voice note, thanking him for his concern.
According to Deyemi, Jumoke Aderounmu sounded shaky on the phone, but she also inquired about his boys and mentioned that she hadn't reached out earlier because she was broke.
Deyemi Okanlawon spoke about her tragic passing, wrote via his Instagram handle:
"Death brings everything into perspective often times helping us see how trivial some of the things we concern ourselves with are".
“Jumoke I am so Sorry, I thought we had all the time in the world and really should have just called. Goodbye my dear friend… we will continue the conversations in a better place!”
