Tems, the Nigerian music sensation, has once again captured the hearts of fans with her latest single, "Love Me Jeje," which was released on April 26. Anticipation for the track soared after Tems previewed it during her electrifying performance at Coachella 2024.

In "Love Me Jeje," Tems pays homage to the classic 1997 Nigerian song of the same name by Seyi Sodimu featuring Shaffy Bello. The track marks Tems' first release of 2024 and follows her guest appearance on Tyla's "NO. 1," featured on the South African artist's debut album.

Infused with African percussions and Highlife chords, "Love Me Jeje" maintains a mid-tempo groove while Tems seamlessly blends nostalgic elements from Seyi Sodimu's iconic hit into her own unique style.

During her performance at Coachella, Tems expressed her admiration for Sodimu's original track, citing it as inspiration for her own rendition.

The release of "Love Me Jeje" heightens anticipation for Tems' forthcoming debut album, which she announced was completed during her Coachella set.

To further build excitement, a private listening session was held in Lagos to preview tracks from the highly anticipated album.

Since gaining international acclaim in 2020 with her standout performance on Wizkid's "Essence," Tems has solidified her status as one of Africa's most prominent music exports. 

She has collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Drake and Beyoncé, and her songwriting prowess was showcased on "Lift Me Up," the official soundtrack for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" performed by Rihanna. Tems made history as the first Nigerian female artist to win a Grammy Award for her contribution to Future's "Wait For U."
