Madame Mystique, a socialite and the estranged girlfriend of Nigerian singer Asake, has opened up about the reason behind their breakup.
In a response to a curious fan on her Instagram page, Mystique explained that she ended the relationship with the 'Lonely At The Top' crooner because she felt he was willing to let the "devil use him."
The fan wrote, “Why did you break our national sweetheart’s heart? Our Asake.”She replied, “Cuz he wanted to go let the devil use him.”
In response to another fan who criticized her for not protecting Asake from the devil instead of walking away, Mystique clarified that the singer is a God-fearing man. She emphasized that her reference to "the devil" was metaphorical, implying that the challenges they faced were more deceptive than diabolical.
She wrote, “Chill, he’s very much a man [of] God. The devil is just a trickster nonetheless.”
Madame Mystique and Nigerian singer Asake sparked relationship rumors last year after their affectionate photos and videos surfaced online. However, in March 2024, reports emerged indicating that their relationship had hit the rocks.
