Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA. Forbes, along with his friend Tebello 'Tibz' Motshoane, was shot dead outside a restaurant in Durban in February 2023.
KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi announced the arrests in a press briefing, stating that the suspects would appear in court on Thursday. Mkhwanazi explained that AKA was monitored from the airport and that Tibz was not the intended target in the murder on Florida Road in Durban.
He also mentioned that the suspects were paid for their roles in the crime. The arrests mark a significant development in the case, bringing hope for justice for AKA and his friend.
