In a turn of events, the hair vendor who previously called out former Big Brother Naija reality show winner Josephine Otabor, widely known as Phyna, has issued a public apology.

Phyna, on her Instagram page, shared a video and a written apology from the vendor, who was reportedly in police custody. The posts suggest that the vendor's public apology was a step towards resolving the issue after legal action was initiated.
Speaking in the video, the hair vendor said: “My name is Dammy. I’m the lady that called out Phyna for the rented wig. I admit I overreacted by doing so and I want to tender a sincere apology to her. It wasn’t my intention to dent her image; I sincerely apologise.”
In the statement, she extended an apology to the reality star for the embarrassment caused.

Responding to the allegation on her Instagram page, Phyna denied any direct knowledge of the vendor, referring to them as "clout chasers."
